The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2021
According to the ICC, the matches for the T20 World Cup will be played from October 17 to November 14 and the event will be co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
According to the ICC, the event is divided into two phases. The first round will feature qualifying matches, while the second round will feature teams that have direct access to the event.
Eight teams will compete in the qualifying round, of which the four winning teams will advance to the final 12. Qualifying matches will be played at cricket grounds in Oman, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
Teams playing qualifying matches are further divided into two groups. Group A comprises Sri Lanka, Ireland, the Netherlands and Namibia, while Group B comprises Bangladesh, Scotland, Oman and Papua New Guinea.
Eight teams have already qualified for the second round of the event, which has been divided into two groups.
Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Afghanistan,
